Development Finance in the United States

The development finance industry in the US is composed of different kinds of institutions which cater to the needs of under and unbanked low to moderate income communities. These include community development banking institutions, loan funds, venture capital funds and micro enterprise funds among others. The panel will highlight the work being done at these institutions to reduce poverty among the targeted communities. The panel will also attempt to draw parallels with the work in the US and any implications for international microfinance.
